Savor your favorite bottle of red or white blend to the last drop. But then, what do you plan to do with the empty bottle? You may choose to recycle your bottles, but what fun is that? Instead, let your creative juices flow by enhancing the wine decor in your home. Liven up your kitchen with a do-it-yourself approach instead of spending money for the services of an interior decorator or a style that just doesn't fit your tastes. Instead, celebrate your love for wine!
How do you begin?

  •            Think of an enticing but simple design. It does not have to be very complicated. You can start with the walls. Chose a paint color that resembles old European themes. If there is enough space, consider mounting dark-colored wooden rafters above for a more authentic look. With so many old barns falling to ruin, it’s easy to find reclaimed barn boards.

  •     Shop around for rural furnishings made of hardwood or wrought iron to augment a wine country atmosphere. Look for a table and benches made of timber rather than purchasing sophisticated and expensive dining furniture. Do away with traditional storage and consider installing open kitchen cabinets where you can place dishes and glassware.Bring your decor together with this natural and basic motif.

  •     Another way of sprucing up your kitchen with distinct wine decor is by using a simplistic bottle design that matches your individual style and budget. Display your wine bottles from previous occasions such as weddings, birthday parties and anniversaries. Or, try your hand at decoupage and convert your bottles into wonderful accent pieces. A simple Internet search can walk you through other fun projects, such as the Tuscan-inspired method of attaching colorful beads to your wine bottles.

  •     Arrange your wine accessories and bottles in different locations to create a special wine ambiance. Line up the bottles on top of your kitchen cabinets, a wine bar or counter tops.

  •      Place wine cork candles in the mouths of wine bottles. These candles are made from regular candle wax, but designed to look like a cork. The candle can burn for two hours.

  •      Decorating with a wine-themed wallpaper is also a great way to dress up your walls. Look for beautiful varieties from known manufacturers or suppliers.

  •        It is also possible to turn bottles into exceptional lighting pieces and highlight your ecological-friendly living decor. Look for chandeliers and other light accessories at flea markets, thrift shops and home sections of department stores. Fasten the bottles to the light bases before hanging. You can even leave the labels on if you want. Otherwise, soak in a water/soap solution and take these off for a glossy effect.

Play around with your wine decor ideas. The wine bottle theme can be extremely simple or very imaginative, depending on your preferences.Remember, there are no time constraints on your new inspirations. You are only limited by your own creativity.
